Customer Reviews of this Biloxi House Plans.com Home Design:
Your plans are the true example of excellence...

Dear Friends, We got in early this morning to start sending the plans out for bidding and after reviewing the most recent modifications of a certain design, we felt we truly needed to take the time to write you this letter. Your team has been such a pleasure to work with and we are blown away with the excellence and thoroughness of the work that has been done. The specs on how we want our concrete done, the span of lumber charts, the details on the cabinets, etc., is unbelievable. Your plans are the true example of excellence. That is so rarely seen anymore in residential work or even commercial work anymore! Hold your heads up and puff up those chests – share the love and kind words throughout your staff. Thanks again!

We are so blessed! It is gorgeous!

After some financial difficulties that began in 2002 we were finally about to save up enough money to build a home. In 2009 we began to build on a lot that our family had given to us. In February of 2010 we were able to move into our Country Craftsman Style house! We are so blessed! It is gorgeous!

The designer's even had someone come in on a day off to reverse the plans and got them to us later that same day!

We moved to North Carolina from Idaho in 2010 due to a military permanent change of station. In the military, moves are anything but permanent. We began looking for a house with 4 bedrooms and a bonus, in the fall of 2009. It was important to us that we had a home that would accommodate a growing family. We currently have 2 year old boy/girl twins, and wanted them to be able to have their own rooms when they got older, and have another bedroom for a nursery for a future child. We also wanted to have a bonus room for out-of-town guests since our family all lives out of state. It seemed that all the houses on the market were only 3 bedrooms with a bonus, and despite having more square footage than our home in Idaho, they had less usable space, with only a small family room. (Our home in Idaho was a 3 bedroom home, but had a large family room, and small office, and a living room.) All the 4 bedroom+ homes we saw had only the master on the first floor, and the rest of the bedrooms upstairs. Because we have little ones, we wanted to have the bedrooms on the first floor, with the master on one side of the house and the bedrooms on the other. We finally decided that the best option would be to build a home. Something that we had done in Idaho. With mortgage rates being so low, it was a good time to be able to build. We began meeting with builders and looked at a few builder spec plans, but did not see what we were looking for. We finally began looking on-line through thousands of plans, and discovered House Plan Gallery's HPG-2400 Morgan Ridge home plan and the HPG-2212 Hampton Avenue home design Both plans being very similar, offered exactly what we were looking for. The size of the breakfast areas could accommodate a dining room table and hutch which would allow the flex-space to be used as a study. Most people never use their formal dining rooms but once a year, so to us it seemed like a waste of space. We decided after comparing both plans and costs, that the Hampton Ave was the one for us. We love the exterior with the front bedroom with the bay window and the stone accents. The two covered porches are great for sitting outside and enjoying the evenings. Thankfully, we found a great builder who did an awesome job building our home and being responsive to all of our requirements. The team over at House Plan Gallery was also very helpful, especially when right before we were to break ground, the building department decided they wanted a reverse set of plans before they would issue the permits. We had to reverse the plans due to placement of the septic tank on the lot.Someone had come in on a day off to reverse the plans and got them to us later that same day! The process of building this home went much smoother than building our first home in Idaho did. The house turned out beautiful and we are very satisfied. The house has plenty of space for our family. The twins share a room currently, and we use one bedroom as a play room, and the other is an extra guest room that will eventually be turned into a nursery for another child. The bonus room is complete with a bathroom and shower and is perfect when grandparents come to visit, which they do frequently. The kitchen has plenty of counter-space and cabinets. The Hampton Ave is a great house plan, and we continually get great comments from family, friends and neighbors on how nice the house is. Several neighbors have even told us that this is their favorite house in the neighborhood. (I'm sure thats next to their own!) We are very thankful and blessed that we could build such a wonderful home!

There's no wasted space in the floorplan, and it's perfectly suited for the lot we own...

After looking at hundreds of designs on the internet, we found a design we loved. The blueprints arrived in excellent condition and on time. Our builder was also pleased with the complete details included. Although we've not yet built the home, we look forward to making this place our retirement home. There's no wasted space in the floorplan, and it's perfectly suited for the lot we own. We would definitely recommend this designer to anyone looking to build a new home.

The house plan was perfect! ...Great for entertainment and to enjoy after a long day at work...

The house plan was perfect... Its really hard to just name a few features that I like about this home design, but my favorites are: the tray ceiling in the Dining and Master Bedroom; the porch in the back; the bedrooms being completely on the other side of the house from the master bedroom; and the large oversized garage with the workshop area. When we purchased the plans, we wanted to find a contractor that would actually build the plans "to the letter" of the actual working drawings, so we asked the local building inspector for recommendations. We found a contractor from that recommendation, and the ball started rolling from there. We made a few modifications to home, onsite, including moving the fireplace to better allow for the placement of a full video/audio center cabinet. We also screened-in the porch and made the fourth bedroom a little larger so as to serve as my wife's scrap room. However, the largest modification was made on the bonus room, where we stick-built the roof to add an additional 1,500 sq ft which will include a full bath with a ~ 500 sq ft game room, 300 sq ft computer/media room, and a 700 sq ft home theater. This upper level is under construction as we speak and I can't wait to get in there! The porch was screen-in and the 4th bedroom was made larger to the wife's scrap room. Bathroom was removed to add space. Also window was added to wall where no window appeared in plan to add sunlight. However the largest modification was done to the Bonus Room. The roof was was stick built to add an additional 1500 sq ft. that will include a full bath with a 500 s/f game room, 300 s/f computer/media room and a 700 sq ft Home theater. This upper level is a home project under construction as I write. The home is great and a great layout. Great for entertainment and to enjoy after a long day at work.

We had over $1,400,000 debt, and could have legally taken bankruptcy...

We owned a commercial roofing company and a trucking business that grew too fast. Poor decisions, and other circumstances contributed to the problems. Jerry's Dad, his business partner, got sick and died. After an audit we realized we were losing thousands of dollars a month. We had over $1,400,000 debt, and could have legally taken bankruptcy, but we believed that we should sell everything we could and pay back our debts. We had a nice 1926 AC ranchette home that was free and clear as well as having lots of other assets, such as cars, trucks, horses, cattle, etc. We sold everything but 1 horse, and our furniture, and we moved in with Jerry's mother who helped us with some of the debt. We actually got all the way down to having only $100 and driving a borrowed car, but we had peace! Jerry's mother gave us some land and we bought a mobile home, initially. Jerry worked hard at any job he could find. Donna went back to school, got her real estate license after 30 years as a stay-at-home wife and mother, and went to work. Over the next few years, with God's help and grace, we gradually paid back all the debt, began to save, and dreamed of building a house on our land. In 2009, we began to build and placed a Bible in our slab as a reminder of who helped us get out of our dire circumstances. We moved into our new wonderful, Country Craftsman style house in Feb 2010 and felt so blessed and restored. It is gorgeous! We made just a few modifications to the home including taking the pantry/closet out to make the dining room area larger with a nook for our antique buffet. We also omitted the stairwell (no upstairs) and made a huge pantry. We also put an outdoor fireplace on the patio and have really been enjoying it. Finally, our favorite features of this beautiful home are the Country Craftsman Style, tall ceilings, split bedrooms, big closets, two dining areas, covered patio, and the big front porch. We would definitely recommend this designer for anyone looking for a beautiful design with a floorplan that absolutely minimizes wasted space. Highly recommended!
