We broke ground on our new home and found out we were expecting!

We were planning to add to our family, and our current 3 bedroom home was already extremely cramped. We decided on plan HPG-1992-1 because we loved the different pitches in the roof and the open flow the plan offered, as well as the bonus room which makes a great bedroom and full bath for our teenage daughter. The land was in the process of being cleared when we found out that we were expecting daughter #3. We broke ground on our new home July 28 2010 and with an awesome contractor we were able to move in the week after Thanksgiving. We had just enough time to settle in to our new home, which we absolutely love, before we welcomed our youngest daughter into the family on February 11, 2011. I have always heard if a marriage can survive building a house, it can surive anything... well my husband will tell you that we not only survived building a house, but building a house while pregnant; now that is a great accomplishment! Thank you so much for providing a wonderful plan for our new home.

We would definately buy from them again and recommend them to all our friends and family...

We had a lifelong dream to build a nice home on a large piece of land, and when we moved to Georgia in 2000, we bought a temporary house in a small subdivision. Moving here allowed me to really explore the local area and to check land values where I would like to build this dream home. It ended up taking me over 6 years, but we finally found a beautiful 16 acre parcel just one mile from my house. When we started building, I purposely located the house at the back of the land, close to the woods and to the old farm pond. I also set it at an angle to the land to insure shade on the back porch and to have a good view down the 1,000 foot long driveway. Also, because of of the relative seclusion I was looking for, I chose to keep the main living area windows with out any dressings. The house plan was perfect for our family! Some of my favorite features include the 16 x 40 full gym that we built, the large open living space with maple hardwood floors, the back porch deck and patio that looks out on our pond, and so many other features I can't even begin to go into... We highly recommend this designer and their house plans, and would definately buy from them again and recommend them to all our friends and family...

We probably looked at upwards of 500 house plans...

We had been waiting for years for a lot to become available in our neighborhood and the owners finally decided they were ready to sell. We probably looked at upwards of 500 house plans trying to find just the right features and style for us. The HPG-1816-1 house plan we settled on had everything we wanted, including the style and appearance that set it apart from the other homes in our area.We couldn't be happier with our choice!

Everyday, we realize how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful home...

Soon after my husband and I were married, we knew we were going to need a bigger house. I began looking at houseplans on the internet and must have looked at hundreds over 6 months or more. We finally decided that a certain home design would work best for our family and the land it would be sitting on. Our house sits on the former land of my parents right across from their house, located in a rural area. I wanted our house to look like a modern country home. The front and back porched remind me of my grandparents homes which were only a few miles from ours. The interior of our home has changed our lives because it provides both parents and children their privacy by separating the bedrooms on either end of the house. In our previous house, the bedrooms were so close together that we could hear everything from room to room as if the doors were open. The kitchen and livingroom of of our other house were separated and left the cook (me) feeling isolated and left out. Now the only thing separating the areas are two two 2-foot partial walls where the flooring changes. The garage is very spacious and we have so much potential storage area off the bonus room that we will never need it all. Speaking of the bonus room, we are using it as a home gym and gameroom which my husband and kids absolutely love. There are so many features that we love it's hard to name just a few. We love the front and back porches. We recently had a patio put in off the back porch and we love it. On the inside, I love the split bedroom design because it gives me and my husband some much needed privacy. The open kitchen and livingroom design keeps the family together during the day. We put a bedroom in the flex space which will easily be changed into an office as the children leave home. We have only 3 left living with us now. I modified the masterbath by reversing the toilet room with a jetted tub/shower and took out the shower stall. It gave us tons on room for cabinets. We also modified the exterior/front where the garage is. We also added a mudroom in the garage where we put a sink and toilet so that my husband would have it handy when he was working in his detached garage. I cannot end the story of our home without mentioning our wonderful builder. He helped us save so much money by letting us be the co-contractors. All along the way he tried to get us the best deals on supplies and let me pay all the suppliers early inorder to get discounts. We also did all of the interior painting and caulking to save money. Our home is worth approximately $50,000 more than it costs us, according to an unofficial appraisal. Everyday, we realize how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful home. It all started with the designer's plans, which arrived only 3 days after I ordered them. Thank you for improving our quality of life and giving us the home of our dreams.

I wish with everything in me that there wasn't a reason for this new house...

Before anything else, you should know that I wish with everything in me that there wasn't a reason for this new house. Four and a half years ago my wife and I were leading an ideal life. We were just starting to relax in our retirement and taking great joy from watching our four son's families grow. But a head-on collision changed everything. It was one of my oldest sons, one of my twins. For a while we didn't believe he'd survive. And in a way, my Chris, my son I'd loved for 43 years, didn't. Chris is 48 now. He's paralyzed on his left side and suffers from extensive brain damage. He requires total care, which his Mother and I give round the clock. His medical condition is the reason for our new house. Our old home place was very secluded; which at one time we loved. But since Chris has frequent seizures, we need an ambulance to be able to find us fast. Also, we need to be closer to his doctors and physical therapist whom he sees three times a week. The most imperative need for building, though, is that everything must be handicap accessible. I'm 70 and my wife, Betty, is 68 years old. So the idea of not having to fight his chair through doorways or squeeze down halls is quite appealing. And we're looking forward to the handicap bathroom like kids look forward to Christmas! I LOVE the large rooms in this home design and the layout is absolutely perfect for our needs with no wasted space... While I continue to pray my child will be made whole again and we wouldn't NEED this new house; it will be a great blessing and we are eager for the relief it will bring to our lives. This is a great house for our family's needs and we would definately recommend this designer's home designs to anyone...

We love our home!

We love our home! We quickly decided on your plan. I had reviewed 100’s of plans and gave my wife three plans to choose from. She quickly chose this plan. Everyone that comes to our home loves the kitchen, and dining/livingroom openness! My wife loves that the kids each have their own room and that all four bedrooms are on the same floor! The bonus room above the garage is all play area - 900+ sqft!

We will definately recommend this designer.. We're so happy!
